Writing is an art. One that can make you travel whilst remaining at the same place, one that can make you think, one that can teach you something or one that can make you wonder. Collaborating with Vélo Mag for an article on paracycling was a thrilling experience, because it means that hundreds if not thousands of people will discover the discipline but also a few of the people who are at the heart of it, the athletes.
Since 2012, there’s been an increase in the attention the paralympic movement has been receiving from all around the world and it has to keep growing. Paralympians are inspiring athletes and incredible individuals with a heart of gold. Everyone has a different story, but they all have the save goal, which is to give everything they’ve got and show what they’re made of.
In the August edition of Vélo Mag, I’m bringing focus on the different categories in paracycling and presenting one athlete of each category. Make sure you grab a copy, because Quebec is about to be taken by a paracycling storm, as the city of Quebec will be host to the UCI Road World Cup from August 4-7 and Baie-Comeau will once again host the UCI Paracycling Road World Championships (August 11-14).
